About
Lily Kellett is the printmaker behind Wayfaring Wild. Based in North Yorkshire, Lily makes linocut prints that are inspired by the landscape of her home and family life around the kitchen table.
Lily has always been interested in the interaction between humans and the landscape. Growing up between the Derbyshire Dales and the North Wales coast, her formative years were spent immersed in rural areas.
Following a career in teaching, Lily relocated to North Yorkshire in 2020 with a wish to carve out a more connected and creative life. It is here that she returned to her interest in capturing her surroundings and began to teach herself the principles of print making with lino.
Lily works through observational drawings, which are the basis of her prints. She focuses on line and shape to create pieces which communicate the essence of natural forms.
